A Father is a Blessing June 21, 2026

Father’s Day is a reminder of how deeply blessed we are when we’ve had a loving father or father figure in our lives. These are the men who steady us when life gets heavy, who teach us lessons we carry for a lifetime, and who somehow always know how to make us laugh with the kind of joke only a dad could deliver. Whether they are connected to us by blood or by the simple gift of love, their presence shapes us in ways we never forget.

Today we celebrate the dads, stepdads, grandfathers, uncles, mentors, and friends who have shown up with strength, guidance, and unwavering support. Their sacrifices often go unseen, but their impact is felt in every part of who we are. A good father doesn’t ask for much, just to know that we are safe, growing, and loved. Taking a moment to say “thank you” is often more meaningful to them than we realize.

But Father’s Day can also be tender for those who are missing someone. For anyone carrying the memory of a father or father figure who is no longer here, this day can bring both gratitude and ache. Even so, their love continues to live in us, in our choices, our resilience, our humor, and our hearts. The people who loved us well never truly leave; they stay with us in the quiet ways that matter most.

So today, we honor the fathers who raised us, the men who stepped in when we needed them, and the ones we hold in memory. May we celebrate their love, their lessons, and the light they brought into our lives. Happy Father’s Day to all who give, guide, protect, and love with a father’s heart.
